Saszel Studio started in a garage with a shared frustration: we loved the depth of DCS World, but it was never built to be a strategic mind — no economy, no grand-strategy planning, no AI that decides what to attack and when. So we built the tooling to make it possible.
That tooling became IASER — our flagship, and the only project we're shipping. IASER turns a stock Eagle Dynamic Dedicated Server into an autonomous, AI-commanded battlefield, and everything we do at Saszel Studio flows back into making it the best way to command forces in DCS World.
The game and the AI mind stay cleanly separated — DCS does what it does best, IASER does what it can't.
Heavy AI compute is offloaded off the DCS tick-loop. The sim never stalls on strategy planning.
IASER is documentation-first — the community can read it, run it, and extend it their own way.
Everything we build is IASER. No scattered roadmaps — just a single project, done well.
Two modders prototype a War Manager to command a small scripted battle.
First economy + strategy engine runs over a stock DCS server without blocking the sim.
Public specification: War Manager, AI offloading, and the Lua bridge go live to early testers.
IASER opens to the community. The Saszel Studio team ships.
Engineers, modders, and pilots — a lean team with a lot of runway.
“We didn't want to patch DCS multiplayer into something bigger. We wanted to build the strategic mind that DCS was missing — so that everyone, pilot or commander, experiences the same war.
— Head of Engineering, Saszel Studio
